About Beej

I have been captivated by the world of artistic expression. I pursued a formal education in Graphic Art, eager to explore different mediums and techniques. However, as life progressed and my own family grew, my focus shifted. Though my art took a backseat, my passion for creating art remained unwavering. I sought opportunities to continue honing my craft, attending regular art classes at the renowned Royal Queensland Art Society (RQAS).

At RQAS, I delved into the captivating realm of Life Art Drawing. Capturing the essence and intricacies of the human form became a source of endless fascination for me. It challenged me to observe, study, and immortalize the beauty of the human body on canvas. My appetite for growth led me to explore various painting and drawing. From landscapes to still life, each new subject presented an exciting opportunity to expand my artistic horizons.

Working in education with international students and teaching young people in after school art classes, has allowed me to witness the transformative power of art firsthand. I found immense joy in sharing my knowledge and igniting the creative spark in others. I saw how it nurtured confidence, encouraged self-expression, and fostered a sense of belonging.

Today, armed with a Diploma in Art Therapy, I find myself in a unique position. The fusion of my love for art and my understanding of its therapeutic benefits has opened doors to a multitude of possibilities. I realize that my journey in the world of art is not solely about personal fulfillment, but also about making a difference in the lives of others.

Whether it is bringing art into the lives of young people and adults, guiding aspiring artists, or using art as a means of healing, I am committed to sharing this gift with the world. I believe that art has the power to transform, to inspire, and to connect people across boundaries. Having an unyielding belief in the profound impact art can have on the world, welcome to my artistic adventure!
